Australian Tiffanies
Red Australian
Tiffanies!!!!
Australian Tiffanies are a relatively new breed of cat.
First there was the Burmilla..............
In 1981 there was an accidental mating between a lilac Burmese
and a male Chinchilla which resulted in four black shaded silver
female kittens. The owner Miranda Bickford-Smith was so
impressed with the kittens and working with Therese Clark the
Burmilla breed was born. The name came from BURM-ese and chinch
-ILLA. The Burmilla is a shorthair agouti cat with a silver base
and coloured shading or tipping as the contrast.
The Burmilla breed comes in both long and shorthair.
