Sales Contract
Seller’s
Responsibilities
1.
The cat or kitten
purchased is to the best of our knowledge in good health and currently
vaccinated and wormed and microchipped at the time of sale. Where possible the
cat or kitten will be vet checked on the day of collection or transport.
2.
ChrisCrash agrees to
supply all vaccination records, micro-chip details and a Waratah National Cat
Alliance Certificate of Registration and Pedigree will mailed directly to the
buyer within one month (4 weeks) of the date of sale.
3.
Should ChrisCrash be
unable to supply the chosen kitten/cat due to death or illness the purchaser
will be notified as soon as possible and a full refund of the deposit or monies
paid.
4.
ChrisCrash will take
the cat/kitten back after a two week ‘cooling off’ period but a full
refund may NOT apply.
5.
The kitten or cat is
guaranteed against
congenital defects
for one year (12 months) from the date of purchase. Should the kitten or cat die
within that period as a direct result of a congenital defect, a refund will only
apply if an appropriate autopsy is performed by a licensed vet and a vet
certificate is provided as proof of cause of death.
Buyer’s
Responsibilities
1.
Choose carefully as
cancellation of orders will result in any and all monies paid being forfeited.
2.
A deposit is
necessary to secure your kitten $200 for pedigree cats $50 for part pedigree
cats. This is NON REFUNDABLE except as listed in item 3 below
3.
All monies must be
paid in full prior to or on pickup of kitten or cat. Kittens will normally be
ready for pickup/delivery at 12 weeks of age. Cheques will be accepted but the
cheque must be cleared before collection.
4.
For kittens ordered
for export. Final payment is required when the kitten reaches 10 weeks of age.
5.
Should the buyer
require the kitten to remain longer than 12 weeks of age, a minimal boarding fee
of $5.00 a day will apply. Payable by the purchaser.
6.
The buyer pays for
all freight and crate costs as well as a set fee of $50 for transport by the
breeder to Sydney Airport. If exporting all freight costs, import/export
licenses or permits, additional vaccinations, vet or medical, and any quarantine
costs are payable by the buyer.
7.
The buyer is
contracted to notify ChrisCrash as soon as possible of any health concerns with
the cat or kitten. Where possible the cat/ kitten will attend a vet of
ChrisCrash’s choice for assessment and only then will ChrisCrash accept
responsibility for the vet bill.
8.
It is the
responsibility of the buyer to provide immediate veterinary care to any kitten
or cat purchased showing signs of illness or distress and failure to do so will
render any guarantee null and void
9.
Under no
circumstance is the purchased kitten or cat to be destroyed or placed with an
animal welfare agency without prior notification of the buyer to ChrisCrash.
10.
The kitten or cat is
to be kept indoors or in a suitable outdoor secure enclosure or under supervision or control.
11.
If your kitten or
cat is found to be neglected or mistreated the buyer will surrender the kitten
or cat to ChrisCrash unconditionally.
12.
Should the buyer
wish to find a new home for the kitten or cat in the future, ChrisCrash is to be
contacted and given the option of helping to place the kitten or cat in a
suitable approved home.
These terms
and conditions of sale are binding and apply to both buyer and seller in this
transaction and are non-transferable to other parties without prior written
approval from ChrisCrash.
The term
‘ChrisCrash’ refers to Christine Brelsford and David Richardson of ChrisCrash
Cattery.
The term ‘buyer’
refers to the person whose name appears on the receipt of purchase.
